A friend of mine just recently got a lenovo thinkpad r61i, and it has microsoft office installed. the problem is, it needs to be activated with the product key. lenovo sent no cd or packaging with the product key on it; the program came pre-installed.. Lenovo conveniently removes this file before delivery. so...since i had a copy of my key (thanks to belarc), i downloaded a fresh copy of office 2010 from microsoft, deleted the original lenovo-installed version from my computer, and reinstalled it from scratch.. Office 2010 starter product key i purchased a lenovo thinkcentre all in one desktop.it came pre-loaded with genuine windows 7 home basic and genuine office 2010 starter.it worked fine the first 15 days but then it started asking from me for the product key.i did not have any product key and even if i got the product key from an external source.
